Whole Foods Recalls Ice Cream Bars

AUSTIN, Texas -- Whole Foods Market is now recalling ice cream bars, which might contain undeclared almonds and can be very harmful to people with certain food allergies.

Austin-based Whole Foods said there was no illnesses have been reported.

This is a recall for packages of Whole Treat Organic Vanilla Ice Cream Bars Dipped in Chocolate with a best-by date of Aug. 3, 2007.

Future is orange for ice cream wizards

HOMEGROWN Welsh oranges are now being used to prepare flavours bespoke ice cream commercially for the first time.

When Welsh ice cream makers Heavenly of Llandeilo, Carmarthenshire, were just missing an orange variety, gardeners for nearby Aberglasney Gardens stepped in for assistance.

The 10kg of oranges, representing the full crop produced at Aberglasney this year, were prepared for ice cream approximately as soon as they were picked from the tree.

City frozen out of ice cream jubilee

Palmerston North was the shock oversight from 13 cities nationwide, which would sell 10c ice-creams tomorrow and Friday in honor of Tip Top's 70th anniversary.

Tip Top yesterday exposed why Palmerston North was scooped.

Fonterra Brands (Tip Top) Ltd is convenience channel national sales manager Justin Scott says a lucky 13 shops were then picked mainly on the volume of ice-cream sold in their stores.

Migraine Sufferers Prone to "Ice Cream Headaches"

ISLAMABAD: People who are get migraines are also more often to develop the horrible headaches, which come with eating ice cream too fast, a study shows.

"According to our findings, ice cream headache is not only more often in migraine people but also has different clinical characteristics--such as site and throbbing quality, when compared to ice cream headache in tension-type headache sufferers," study author Dr. H. Macit Selekler told.

Equi's already holds the title of Scotland's best ice-cream maker, but this competition that had involved 700 companies from across the UK is the oyster, or may even the nugget in the industry.

Ice cream boosts up Unilever sales

The manufacturer of Ben & Jerry's ice cream and the Knorr soups saw sales rose by 4.8% during the July to September period.

The firm said it was sure that it will continue its sales-led recovery, though it is still being out performed by rivals Nestle and Procter & Gamble.

The latest results were greeted very positively by analysts.

Boost for ice cream firm

New Forest Ice Cream, which began life in a unit on the Gordleton Industrial Estate between Sway and Lymington, is to return there, but in massively expanded premises of more than 5,000 square metres.

Managing director Laurie Jenman, who runs the business with wife Sue, son Graham and twin daughters Nichola and Christina, has just applied to New Forest District Council for planning permission for the new factory.
