Great moments in ice cream

Nothing energizes a ice cream party like an open bar, no matter how the booze is served.

Last month, chattering Cantabri giants slurped free Rum Raisin and other ice-covered flavors to rejoice the Amazon.com publication of Gus Rancatore's short journal "Ice Cream Man: 25 Years at Toscanini's."

The work is now a taste, to drum up interest in a longer book he and writer Helen Epstein are writing that describes the shifting world of Central Square.

Accident girl asks for an ice cream

A youngster who was recently injured in a road accident briefly regained perception and asked for ice cream. Hartlepool 12-year-old Angeline Malik was left fighting for her life then an alleged hit-and-run smash.

The High Tunstall pupil was on her own way to see this new baby cousin who lived next to her in Grange Road, Hartlepool, when the accident happened

He said: "She woke up on Thursday night. The first thing she asked was 'could I have a glass of water and could I have some ice-cream.' They fed her the ice cream."

Organic ice cream churns ahead

BOULDER, Colo. -- Settling into an economic friendly producing facility seems on par philosophically for Boulder Ice Cream, a home all-natural ice cream maker.

But the new digs, nearly three times the size of the Boulder-based company's last location, even can make fine business sense. The company now could augment capacity, pasteurize and co-pack for other companies and its organic certification would allow Boulder Ice Cream to go organic by July -- just in time for National Ice Cream month.

Find nirvana in pomegranate ice cream

The Irvine-produced ice cream is the only countrywide obtainable pomegranate ice cream on the market. It's even rapturously delicious. Even those who aren't fanatical about the tanginess of pomegranates would love these products, as the cream and milk lessen the fruit's pie edge and play up the berry-like flavor.

Ice cream man shot in street

An ice cream man is in a serious condition after he was then shot in a street attack.

The occasion happened just after 6.30pm last Monday in Strathesk Road in Penicuik, Midlothian.

Lothian and Borders Police stated that the victim, believed to be a man in his 50s, was in the parked van when he was shot.
