Baby Ruth Ice Cream

Baby Ruth ice cream is very designer candy bar which is one of the best ice cream made up of chocolate-covered peanuts and nougat, though the nougat found in it, is more like fudge than is found in many of the other American candy bars also.

Although the name of this candy bar might sounds nearly identical to the name of the famous baseball player, Babe Ruth, is a Curtiss Candy Company which has traditionally claimed that it was actually named after the President Grover Cleveland's daughter, Ruth Cleveland. Nonetheless, the bar first appeared in the year 1921, as Babe Ruth's fame was on the rise and was long after Cleveland had left the White House and then 16 years after his daughter had died. Moreover, the company had failed badly to negotiate an endorsement deal with Ruth, and most of saw the naming of the bar as a way to avoid having to pay baseball player any of royalties. Ironically, Curtiss successfully shut down at a rival bar that was approved by, and named for, Ruth, on actual grounds that the names were too similar.

As if to tweak their own very official denial of the name's origin, after Babe Ruth's Called Shot at Wrigley Field in the year 1932 World Series, the Chicago-based Curtiss Company installed on the illuminated advertising sign for sweet Baby Ruth, on the roof of one of the flats across the Sheffield Avenue, near where Ruth's home run ball had landed in the center field. The sign stood for some four decades before and finally being removed.

After a series of mergers and acquisitions, the candy bar is now produced by Nestle.Another Baby Ruth product from Nestle. Baby Ruth is also the name of an ice cream bar made with milk chocolate coating and in chocolate-covered peanuts and a vanilla-and-nougat flavored at any ice cream center .
